Edit Your Studio Site from Claude or ChatGPT
After you publish a site from InstaWP Studio (Beta), you can connect it to Claude or ChatGPT and make changes from your own AI assistant. This is handy for quick edits, or for handing a site to a client who wants to make small changes themselves.
The connection runs through InstaMCP, InstaWP's way of connecting AI assistants to WordPress sites.
Before you start
Your site must be live on InstaWP. See Publish your site.
Connect your site
When your site goes live, the {name} is live screen includes an Edit it from your AI assistant box.
- Claude: click Add to Claude. It adds your live site to Claude in one click.
- ChatGPT: click Add to ChatGPT and follow the short copy-and-paste step it shows.
Once connected, ask your assistant for a change in plain words, for example "Change the opening hours on the Contact page to 9am to 5pm".

Hand a site over to a client
Build and publish the site in Studio, then hand it over. Your client connects the live site to their own Claude or ChatGPT and makes small edits there.
You stay in control: each connection has its own token and a WordPress role, set in the InstaMCP settings, and you can revoke a connection at any time.
