Manage Your Sites in InstaWP Studio

The Sites screen

Click Sites in the top bar of the builder to see all your sites. Each card shows the site's name, whether it is a Draft or live, and how many sessions it has. Click a card to open the site in the builder.

From the Sites screen you can also:

Where drafts are stored

A site you have not published yet lives in your browser's storage, in the browser profile that built it. The bottom of the Sites screen shows how much browser storage your sites use.

This means:

  • Keep using the same browser (and browser profile) to come back to a draft.
  • Clearing your browser's site data for Studio removes drafts stored in it.
  • If you sign in, your sites are listed in every browser you sign in with. A draft still lives in the browser that built it, so in other browsers it shows as On another device.

Once you publish a site, it lives on InstaWP hosting instead.

Site details

To open a site's details, open ... (More) in the builder and click Site details.

Site details for a draft site in InstaWP Studio

Site details shows:

  • the site's status (for example Not published · lives in this browser), when it was created, and how much space it uses
  • the Brief the site was built from
  • tabs for the site's Sessions, Pages and Snapshots. Click a session to open that conversation again.

On the right are the actions for the site:

ActionWhat it does
PublishPublishes the site to InstaWP hosting. See Publish your site.
WordPress adminOpens the site's WordPress dashboard. See Edit in WordPress.
RenameChanges the site's name in Studio. You can also click the pencil next to the name.
Reset this site…Starts the site over. Studio asks you to confirm first.
Delete site…Deletes the site. Studio asks you to confirm first.

Click Back to the builder to return to the site.

Deleting a draft

A draft lives only in your browser. Deleting it cannot be undone.

For a site that is already live, deleting it from Studio does not delete it from InstaWP unless you choose to. See Delete a published site.
