Click to Edit in InstaWP Studio

Click to edit lets you point at the exact part of the page you want to change, instead of describing where it is. Click a heading, text or section, leave a note beside it, and keep going. Nothing changes until you press Apply.

Change one part of the page

  1. In the toolbar above the preview, click Click to edit. A bar shows Click text or a section to select it.
  2. Move over the preview. The part under your pointer is outlined. Click the one you want to change.
  3. A box opens next to it, named after what you selected (for example Heading · hero). Either:
    • click a quick suggestion such as Shorten, Fix spacing or Improve contrast, or
    • type what should change in What should change here? You can also attach an image or use the microphone.
  4. Press Enter to add the note. Use Shift+Enter for a new line.
  5. Click other parts of the page and add notes to them too, if you like.
  6. Press Apply. Studio makes all your noted changes.

Click to edit: the hero heading is selected and a box asks What should change here?

To leave Click to edit before applying, press Esc or click Cancel.

Applying your notes uses credits, like a chat request. See Studio credits. If you do not like the result, click Undo.

When to use chat instead

Click to edit is best for one specific part of a page. For changes across the whole site, such as new colours or fonts everywhere, a new page, or the menu, ask in chat.
