Server Avatar Hosting Integration

InstaWP allows the addition of a ServerAvatar hosting integration, which is an automated cloud management system that allows you to manage WordPress sites on the ServerAvatar server that you created or migrated from your InstaWP platform.

In this documentation, we will explore the steps to:

Add ServerAvatar Integration



Step 1: Navigate to the hosting page, and click on the Connect Hosting button.



A new modal window will appear, providing a list of available hosting providers. For more information, you can refer to the Connect Hosting document.



Step 2: Select ServerAvatar as the hosting provider.



A new window will appear, asking you to fill out the connection form by entering a new Alias name & API key of your ServerAvatar account.



Note: If you don’t have an Api Key for ServerAvatar integration, visit here for more information.



Step 3: After entering the values in the connection form, click the Connect button.



Then, you will see a success message on your screen.



Create a New Site



Now that the ServerAvatar is connected to your InstaWP account, it allows you to create a new site on the ServerAvatar server. For that, you can follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the New Site button from the top right corner of the interface.



Step 2: A new dialog will appear, select Choose from supported providers and click on the Next Step button.



A website setting dialog will appear, asking you to enter your domain name as your site name.



Step 3: Click on the Next Step button.



A modal window for Plugins & Themes will appear, allowing you to select themes and plugins from the categories.
Step 4: After selecting plugins & themes according to your preferences, click the Go Live button.



Step 5: Click on Continue button.



Then, you will see the message “Your new WordPress website is now live!” alongside with website URL and your login credentials.



Manage Server Avatar Hosted Site



Once connected, manage your newly created Server Avatar hosted site by configuring the options from the following settings:

Connect Settings



You can choose the Purge cache option to free up server resources, making your connected site function faster and more efficiently, particularly in terms of a site's Time to First Byte (TTFB), by serving pages and static cache directly from the closest server available to visitors.



Hosting Settings



You can view and configure the following options that are available on the hosting settings:

Dashboard
Map Domain
Delete



Dashboard



You can view your Server Avatar - hosted website’s PHP version and space used.



Map Domain



You can view your primary mapped domain and map your Server Avatar hosted site with a new domain name by linking it to a web-hosting server, such as Cloudflare or Namecheap. For more information, refer to Map domain document.



Delete



You can also delete your Server Avatar hosted site when not in use anymore.



Migrate Staging Site



InstaWP allows you to migrate your site to the ServerAvatar server. It involves copying all files and databases related to the website and then updating settings for the staging site to work on its new server. For that, you can follow the below steps:

Step 1: Navigate to your dashboard and click on the Go Live icon corresponding to the WP site you want to migrate.



Step 2: A new dialog will appear, select Choose from supported providers and click on the Next Step button.



Step 3: Select ServerAvatar as your hosting provider and its server.



Step 4: Enter your domain name as your site name, click on the Next Step button.



Step 5: Select plugins & themes according to your preferences and click the Go Live button.



Step 6: Click on Continue button.



This completes the migration of your chosen site to your Server Avatar server. Here, you can see your migrated site.



Create a New WaaS



InstaWP also allows you to host your WaaS sites on the ServerAvatar server.

The user needs to create a shared template and monetize it. Then, this shared template will be used as WaaS (Website as a Service).

Afterwards, you can follow the below steps:

Step 1: Go to the WaaS setting dialog, where you can enter the WaaS name and select your monetized template (single or multiple) that will be displayed publicly.



Step 2: From the “Hosting Settings” section, select ServerAvatar as the server alias.



Step 3: Select a server of its and add some features according to your preference, click on the Next button, brand your WaaS and review it. For more information, you can refer to the Create WaaS document.



Step 4: From the Branding dialog, you can brand or customize your WaaS. For more information, you can refer to the Shared template: Branding document.



Step 5: Review the changes, and click on the Finish button.



Then, you will see a success message on your screen.
