RunCloud Integration

InstaWP allows you to add a RunCloud hosting integration which is an advanced control panel that enables you to manage WordPress sites on the RunCloud server that you created or migrated from your InstaWP platform.

In this documentation, we will explore the steps to:

Add RunCloud Integration
Create a New Site
Manage RunCloud Hosted Site
Migrate Staging Site
Create a New WaaS

Let’s get started 🚀

Add RunCloud Integration

Go to the hosting page, and click on the Connect Hosting button to add RunCloud Integration.

Note: If you don’t have an Api or Secret Keys for RunCloud integration, visit here for more information.

After entering the values in the connection form, click the Test button to test whether the connection is correct or not.

Create a New Site

Now that the RunCloud is connected to your InstaWP account, you can create a new site (i.e. tenant) on the RunCloud server. For that, you can follow the below steps:

Manage RunCloud Hosted Site

Once connected, manage your newly created RunCloud hosted site by configuring the options from the following settings:

Connect Settings
Hosting Settings

Connect Settings

You can choose the Purge cache option to free up server resources, making your connected site function faster and more efficiently, particularly in terms of a site's Time to First Byte (TTFB), by serving pages and static cache directly from the closest server available to visitors.

Hosting Settings

You can configure the following options that are available on the hosting settings:

Dashboard
Map Domain
Delete

Dashboard

You can view your RunCloud - hosted website’s RunCloud server and PHP version.

Map Domain

You can view your primary mapped domain and map your runcloud hosted site with a new domain name by linking it to a web-hosting server, such as Cloudflare or Namecheap. For more information, refer to Map domain document.

Delete

You can also delete your RunCloud hosted site when not in use anymore.

Migrate Staging Site

InstaWP allows you to migrate your staging site to the RunCloud server. It involves copying all files and databases related to the website and then updating settings for the site to work on its new server. For that, you can follow the below steps:

Create a New WaaS

InstaWP also allows you to host your WaaS sites on the RunCloud server.

The user needs to create a shared template and monetize it. Then, this shared template will be used as WaaS (Website as a Service).

Afterwards, you can follow the below steps:

Go to the WaaS setting dialog, where you can enter the WaaS name and select your monetized template (single or multiple) that will be displayed publicly.
