How to Work Collaboratively with your Team Member or Contractor/Clients?

InstaWP streamlines collaboration for WordPress agencies and service providers by offering pre-configured templates, project sharing, and team member invitations. Empower your team to collaborate smoothly with clients and contractors, resulting in effective project management and delivery.

In this guide, we will explore:

Pre-configured Templates
Sharing Projects
Teams and Team Members
Accepting Feedback

Let’s get started 🚀

Pre-configured Templates

Create a blueprint (staging site) by selecting the available plugins or themes or using a custom configuration. Optionally configure WordPress, PHP versions, or the preferred server location nearest to your client for better compatibility.

Edit the staging site by adding a new page or post based on your preferences from the WP admin panel and save it as a template.

Edit the template and then use it to create a new site and give a demo of your project site to your client or share the template with possible customers.

Sharing Projects

Once a project site is created from the pre-configured template, you can copy and share the site’s URL or magic login link to directly log in to the WP admin panel.

Add your client as a new user from the site’s WP admin panel, and share the credentials.

Add team members as your clients which allows them to collaborate within the team.

Teams and Team Members

Note: The user can create a team when they are on their Agency plan or have to purchase the addon on any other paid plan. View Pricing here. If you are not logged in, use this link to view pricing.

Create a workspace, a.k.a. team, which is a group of people working together to accomplish a common goal.

Invite the client as a team member and add roles from the following:

RolesDescription
AdminCan invite team members, view & delete team sites, add & edit integrations.
ManagerCan view team sites, and only edit & delete own sites.
MemberCan create new sites, can only view & delete own sites.

Accepting Feedback

Upon presenting the project, clients provided valuable feedback, notably suggesting a logo size adjustment, though pinpointing the exact area proved challenging.

Using the InstaWP Chrome extension to quickly showcase an idea of a plugin or theme from the WordPress repository on a new staging site without directly using it in the project.

Use third-party tools like Atarim, Ruttl, or Usepastel to review, and get comments & feedback on the project site.
