How to Move your Site from InstaWP to a Hosted Environment?

InstaWP Live



Migrate a staging site to InstaWP Live - managed WordPress Hosting with CDN, Security (WAF), and Backups in-built. Using the demonstration below, let’s try to do that.


Step 1: Sign in to your InstaWP account and click on the Go Live button on your site. It'll open a new modal window.




Step 2: Select InstaWP Live from the modal window and click Next Step.




Step 3: Choose a pricing plan. Optionallly, you can use pricing calculator to minimise pricing when purchasing more sites. Now, click Next Step.





Step 4: Enter a new domain name. Optionally, you can configure the data center and PHP version. Then, click Next Step.




Step 5: Optionally, select themes or plugins from the available categories. Now, click Next Step.



Step 6: A pop up will appear for your confirmation. Select Continue from the pop up.



It'll start the going live process instantly.





Once done, it'll show the site credentials and other details.





External Host



InstaWP allows you to migrate your staging site to external services from the following options:

Choose from supported providers
Migrate via URL

Choose from supported providers



Migrate a staging site directly into hosting panels by the supported providers such as Runcloud, Pressable and Server Avatar integration.


Step 1: Select Choose from supported providers and click Next Step.





Step 2: Select hosting accounts from Runcloud or Server Avatar with their servers. Enter a new domain name. Optionally, you can set user and PHP version. Then, click Next Step.




Step 3: Optionally, select themes or plugins from the available categories. then click Next Step.





Step 4: A pop up will appear for your confirmation. Select Continue from the pop up. It'll start the going live process instantly.






Once done, it'll show the site credentials and other details.







Migrate via URL



Migrate a staging site to any hosting company with the live site URL.


Step 1: Select Migrate via URL and click Next Step.




Step 2: Enter your site URL. This supports migration to any hosting company with the live site URL. Now, click Connect Website. Once connected, check the permission box and click on Begin Migration.





Step 3: A pop up window will appear for your permission. Click Continue from the pop up box.





It'll start migrating instantly.




Once done, it'll show the site credentials and other details.
