InstaWP designed the Pay-as-you-go site plan to match your project needs. You can choose any site plan to serve the purpose of your project, whether you're testing an idea, developing client projects, or launching a live site. 


Every plan comes with built-in essentials like CDN, backups, Shield protection, and site management tools. You can start with a smaller plan and upgrade or downgrade anytime, based on what your site needs. The usage-based invoice will be generated at the end of the month.

You can create a site and choose a site plan according to your site preferences.


Site Plans Explained


Free


The Free plan is ideal for testing & exploration. It includes everything you need to test or showcase a site. This plan supports 0.5 GB of disk space and one worker. CDN support, Backup, Shield, and site management tools are not available in this plan. Sites are temporary, expire in 48 hours. This plan is ideal for temporary use cases.

  • Quick plugin/theme tests
  • Experimenting with WordPress
  • Sharing a short-term preview


Sandbox


Sandbox is a low-cost dev plan. It is ideal for developers and client-built sites. You get 5 GB of disk space, monthly backups, and one worker. The plan will cost $2/month for each site. It is suitable for ongoing development or demos that don’t need high traffic or dynamic resources. Great for freelancers or agencies running multiple small projects.

Starter


The Starter plan is ideal for tiny, low-traffic sites. This plan supports 10 GB disk space, 10 PoPs Basic 10 GB CDN, and weekly backups. Starter is built for small live sites that don’t require frequent content updates. You also get 2 PHP workers and site-level protection via Shield, all at just $5/month.

Plus


Plus is ideal for small, dynamic sites. Plus supports 20 GB disk and 3 workers with 119 PoPs, premium 30 GB CDN. This plan offers daily backups. It costs $9/month for each site. The Plus plan is ideal for slightly more complex WordPress sites with plugins that generate dynamic content or store user data.

Pro


Pro is ideal for medium-scale WordPress projects. The Pro plan offers a significant upgrade in resources. This plan provides 35 GB of disk space, 4 PHP workers, 75 GB premium CDN of 119 PoPs, and daily backups. Your site’s needs can change. InstaWP allows you to switch between plans if you need. Upgrading plans lets you scale storage, increase PHP workers, and get better backup frequency. On the other hand, downgrading plans reduce costs. Start small, and upgrade or downgrade anytime based on what your site actually needs.





When to Upgrade Your Site Plan


You'll need to upgrade your plan if your site is getting more traffic, needs extra storage, or uses advanced plugins like WooCommerce. You may also need an upgrade for better speed, more PHP workers, or more frequent backups. You can upgrade anytime based on your site's needs.

When to Downgrade Your Site Plan


You can downgrade when your site is getting less traffic, has fewer features, or you're using it occasionally. This helps reduce costs while keeping key features like backups and site tools. You can switch to a lower plan whenever it makes sense for your site.


If a feature is not available in the lower plan, you won’t be able to downgrade. For example, the Shield feature isn’t available on the Sandbox plan. To downgrade, make sure your current plan doesn’t have Shield enabled.
