Let’s get started 🚀

Save a Version

InstaWP allows you to save a new version (snapshot) of your current website. To do that, you can follow the below steps:

Step 1: Sign In to your InstaWP account and you will be navigated to the dashboard.

Step 2: Click on the More actions button and select the Versions option from the dropdown list corresponding to the site for saving a new version.

A new modal window will slide from the right side of the interface providing you the option to save a new version of your website.

Step 3: Click on the Save New Version button.

You can see the saved version of your website with some additional options (i.e. restore, download file, or database) that you perform according to your preferences.

Add label to a Version

Once a version is saved, you can tag it using a label with some information to remember it by. Click on the Pencil icon right beside the saved version details to get started.

You can write a Tag name for your saved version such as “1stversion” or “NewVersion ”. Then, click on the Save button to save the tag name.

Restore a Version

InstaWP allows you to restore your WordPress site version if something goes wrong or for some reason, you want to switch back to an older version of the site.

Click on the Restore button under the saved version details.

A new modal window will appear asking your confirmation for restoring your site version, click on the Confirm button for that.

Then, you will be navigated to your dashboard with a success message on your screen.

Download a Version

InstaWP also allows you to download a version of your website, including both the file and database, for a variety of purposes. This includes local troubleshooting, restoring on a remote machine, or keeping it for future reference.

Click on the Download File button under the saved version details. The downloaded file will be saved in zip format on your local computer.

You also have access to download your site’s saved version database in SQL format onto your local computer, by clicking on the Download Database button.
