How to Migrate Sites to New Server?

Migrating your website from one server to another is necessary if you are switching website hosting providers. InstaWP allows you to migrate your WordPress sites to a new hosting provider such as RunCloud, Pressable, Server Avatar, etc.


It involves copying all files and databases related to the website and then updating settings for the WordPress website to work on its new server.


For migrating sites to a new server, you need to connect to a hosting provider first. For more information, please refer to the Connect Hosting document. Further, you can create a new site with a custom domain name on your connected hosting account. For more information, please refer to the Manage Hosting document.


Navigation to Migrate Site to a New Server


From the Sites page, click on the horizontal ellipsis and select Migrate from the options of the corresponding site that you wish to migrate.



A new window will appear. Select the method you prefer for going live.

As this will initiate the migration process, allowing you to seamlessly transfer your site from the InstaWP staging area to the live hosting environment.
