How to Set Expiry Time for Demo Sites Using InstaWP Snapshots

Expiry time (default value: 4 hours) is the duration after which a demo environment will reset for users trying your product. Once the expiry time is reached, the staging site is automatically cleaned up and prepared for the next user. This ensures a fresh and consistent experience for every user while optimizing resource usage.

In this document, you will learn how to set an expiry time for your demo site using a snapshot on the InstaWP platform. Follow the steps carefully to configure the expiration settings efficiently.

Step 1

Go to the Snapshots page and click on the Edit icon of the snapshot you want to edit. It'll take you to the snapshot settings page.

Step 2

Navigate to the Advanced Options section within the snapshot settings. Locate Site Lifetime and select your preferred time from the options. Now, click Save.

The default site lifetime is set to 4 hours, but you can extend this period to a maximum of 30 days.
