Types of Shared Templates

Once you've created a shared template, InstaWP enables you to monetize it by making it publicly available on the internet or publishing it to the InstaWP store. With a single click, you can reach over 15k agencies, allowing other users to build their WordPress sites using your template and start earning money.

In this documentation, we will give you an overview of the different types of shared templates.

How to Edit a Shared Template’s Type?



Go to the Templates page and click the "Edit" option to view template options.



Here, you can utilize the following types of shared templates, allowing other users to build their sites using your template.

Non Monetize
Monetize

Non Monetize



A non-monetized shared template can only be shared with anyone via a shareable link. Other InstaWP users can use this link to create new sites in their accounts, making it perfect for selling websites. For more information on how to share template URL or preview landing page, refer to this document.



Note: The user needs to access the beta program and sign up as a seller before monetizing their shared template. For more information on how to monetize shared template, refer to this document.

Monetize



A monetized shared template allows you to sell your shared template and start making money from it. Sell pre-made websites as templates by monetizing them through the following options according to your preferences.

Once the shared template is monetized, you can publish it to the InstaWP store to make money, reaching out to more than 15k agencies. For more information on how to publish templates on the store, refer to this document.

Note: The user needs to mark their parent site as reserved for it to stay published on the InstaWP store. For more information on how to reserve a site, refer to this document.
