How to Restore and Manage Backups for Your InstaWP Live Site
Backups are an essential part of managing your InstaWP Live site, allowing you to safeguard your data and quickly restore your site to a previous state if needed. With InstaWP Live, you can easily take both file and database backups, ensuring your site remains protected from errors, failed updates, or unexpected issues. The intuitive backup and restore feature provides a seamless way to maintain site continuity and protect your valuable work.
This document provides a step-by-step process to restore a backup of your InstaWP live site. It guides you through navigating the hosting tab, accessing settings, and executing a backup restoration, ensuring your site is reverted to a previous state efficiently.
To begin restoring your InstaWP live site's backup, go to Sites > InstaWP Live and click on the desired live site. It'll take you to the site settings page.

Click Backups from the settings option. Here, you will find all available backups. To restore a backup, locate the file backup and click on the Restore icon for the specific backup.

Restoring a backup will overwrite your current site data. Ensure you have a recent backup before proceeding and double-check the backup version you are restoring to avoid losing critical updates or changes.
A new modal window will appear asking your confirmation. Click Restore from the window. It'll start restoring your site instantly.

Once the restoration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that your website has been successfully restored.

If you wish to initiate a new backup, click on the Backup Now button. Select the components you wish to back up, whether a file backup or a database backup.
